Rakweb Web based VOIP
Raketu, is not a traditional VOIP company and they have proved that they are trying to go further by providing multiple bundled services and even providing multiple options to its users/customers to use their VOIP service. A few months back they started Launchpad, a IPTV platform to stream p2p video over Raketu VOIP softphone.
Since we all know that a VOIP softphone has many issues such as non-compatiblity with OS (e.g most of the voip softphones don't support Mac OS), many people on VOIP Guide have reported issues in using Mediaringtalk or icall in the past. All this puts a questions mark on how companies should offer their VOIP services. Whats better? Web based VOIP or VOIP softphone? Well Raketu answered this by providing both the platforms and making their intentions clear that they are very much in VOIP business to provide quality VOIP service.
Raketu has formally launched their web based VOIP platform named as RakWeb. Well there is no special website (atleast not yet) to access their web based VOIP service. You can access Rakweb from Raketu website. Rakweb will offer almost all the same services their customers have been accessing via Raketu VOIP softphone.
Raketu is offering Free calls to over 40 countries and to other countries some good cheap rates. Calling between Raketu users is totally FREE but if you want to call a non-Raketu user, then you need to pay. However using Raketu is extremely easy. It works just like Jajah.
You enter your phone number (landline or mobile phone), then enter the destination number and Click Call.
So if you don't have a account with Raketu, its perhaps time to get one
